Team Canada beaver jersey

Bought some sort of blank uncrested Team Canada prototype, that River City Sports is still selling on clearance (as of Feb 2020), a few years ago.

Made a mock up of my idea.   Figured it wouldn't be a bad Team Canada 3rd jersey idea with the beaver being a well know Canadian symbol.

Beaver logo is from Parks Canada.

The back 'CANADA' inspired by 1972 jerseys (though decided to tone down the size a little bit on mine).

A picture with many elements cut out but not sewn on.  Instead of a number two, I decided to go with a number eight;  number eight back number being recycled from a stripped jersey.   Shoulder patches I got in a patch lot off of Ebay.

Decided to go slightly differently way.  Got a curved Canada crest off Ebay that I was going to use elsewhere, but decided to try here; with Canada now on front instead of back.  Shoulder patches are also sewn on now.  Just the numbers left to put on.

Canada had done the curved crest in more recent times (like those with the logo on the shoulders).  That idea likely taken from earlier teams like in the 1928 Olympics:

and 1936 Olympics, etc.

Picture of finished jersey.  The front.

and the back.

Maybe the arm numbers might have looked better as red and black instead of white and black but went with the recycled arm numbers I had.
